It has to be something in the water.

This is one case where I disagree with the ACLU. That right of privacy does not extend to the next stall. Besides, there was no sex involved, just a sad and twisted man looking for love in all the wrong places.

I am not defending Larry Craig, but where did he actually do something unlawful? How is that any different from trying to pick up a lady at the bar? Unless he is actually performing the act in public, trying to get laid is not a crime...or is it? Shocked

I don't send my kids into bars. I don't expect them to be exposed to sex when they use public restrooms. BTW - I don't send them in alone, but it's sad that I can't.

I agree with Conservative Dad, I shouldn't have to worry about me or members of my family going into a public bathroom and witnessing a solicitation or worse yet, being solicited.

I could care less what people do in their private lives. People's sexual orientation makes no difference to me. Do whatever you want in the privacy of your own home. Swing from the chandelier for all I care. Just please- let me and my children pee without seeing or hearing anything sexual. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

He was not propositioning a kid. These were both adults. How about trying to get a telephone number from a lady in the produce isle at HyVee? You don't allow your kids in the grocery store? It's been said you find love where you least expect it. How did you meet your wife?

You equate getting a phone number with having sex? Where do you come from anyway?

"He was not propositioning a kid" - are you saying that boys don't get propositioned in public restrooms by men? I wish that were true.

"You equate getting a phone number with having sez?" No, I don't. The police weren't there because there were complaints of men exchaning phone numbers in the men's room. Wake up!

BTW - I called my wife after a few church aquaintances talked to each of us.

Yes, I let my kids go into grocery stores. When's the last time you had the ACLU defending sex in a grocery store?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Lori. Take it elsewhere!

Do your really think that men that meet in an Airport restroom are going to exchange phone numbers or get a room somewhere?

If Craig did nothing wrong, to what did he plead guilty? The legal system seems to think that he was guilty of something. Craig thinks that he was guity of something, otherwise, he wouldn't be trying to get his guilty plea thrown out.

Why do I care about you calling your wife?

The ACLU defending sex in a grocery store makes as much sense as their defending sex in any public place such as a public bathroom. Expectation of privacy in any public area is lunacy.

Yes, I think that people having sex in a public area should take it elsewhere.

I remember when the Sioux Falls Police had to curtail the actions of gays in a town park when such behavior got totally out of hand. Public sex and propositioning of people who aare just walking by isn't what the citizens need in their public areas.

Don't guys find it kind of creepy to use the rest room when someone else is having sex in the next stall?

I guess that not all men do. It would bother me that two gays are getting it on in the next stall.

shakes, those "two gays" in the next stall are more than likely two "closeted" married men. Guys who do not feel comfortable coming out (usually family) go on and get married but their real orientation is still there. While I do not condone this behavior, I understand why it happens. There are no places out side of gay bars to meet other men so over the years (and this has been happening for decades, it is not a recent issue) men learned to "cruise" certain areas and create "signals" to alert others that they were "looking." It is a societal issue that caused this to happen. Times are changing though and the younger generation will not have this stigma and will not need to "cruise." Thank God....

"more than likely two "closeted" married men"

This statement seems to assume a lot. Gays need to start advertising rather than go through illegal activities. Wear a rose in a lapel. Wear a peaked hat. Whatever.
